“Only one life, twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last!”

~from the Poem, Only One Life, by C.T. Studd

Welcome!

I am glad you stopped by!

It is sobering to think about having only one life to live and getting it right. In C. T. Studd’s, Only One Life, we are prompted to seriousness. The Scriptures talks of this earthly life as being fragile and passing quickly.

Life is a like a shadow.

Job 8:9  For we are but of yesterday and know nothing, for our days on earth are a shadow.

Life is like a Flower

Job 14:1-2  “Man, who is born of a woman, Is short-lived and full of turmoil.
“Like a flower he comes forth and withers;

Life is like a Vapor

James 4:14  Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.

At my age, if I attain the years of my father and grandfathers, there is more life behind me than in front of me. I have lived more than I have left to live.

With this in mind, I want to be as the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3:14 , “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” using whatever life I have left to LOVE, WORSHIP and GLORIFY God and make a difference in the Nations! My continual prayer is Psalm 2:8  “Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, and the very ends of the earth as Your possession.” Blog coming soon on this thought!
